Gayatri Chetna Centre celebrated Maha Shivaratri with full fervour. The community was mesmerized in worshipping Lord Shiva during Maha Shivaratri celebration at Gayatri Chetna Centre. It was truly a divine feeling with all puja recitals and colourful decorations. The devotees expressed their dedication to wholehearted
participation in the celebration. Maha Shivaratri literally means the great night of Shiva". The festival is all about worshiping Lord Shiva and expressing one’s faith and devotion and expressing gratitude towards all that one is blessed with. During the celebration, devotees offer Woodapple leaves, water and milk to please Lord Shiva as they are believed to be his favourite.
The priests of the temple shared that the foundation of Shiva Lingam was laid in 2013 by Dr Pandya. Since then people get together on every Shivaratri celebration and express their faith and devotion to Lord Shiva. Gayatri Chetna Centre is attempting to prosper Hindu culture and religion in a foreign land and guide new generation on the same path.
