In an attempt to place them at the community forefront, the youth from the Indian Friends of Atlanta came forward to organize the spring mela. Indian Friends of Atlanta (IFA) was formed in 2014 partnering with various different Indian organizations to fill in the gaps in community services, focusing mainly on the services along with spreading the culture and traditions of different Indian dialects.
The IFA youth came together to take the organization’s purpose forward and to train themselves on becoming leaders. Important issues like human trafficking awareness were what the event was based on.
The community enjoyed with food, dance, music, and mehndi amongst many other traditional Indian spectacles. With an important cause at its crux, while being wrapped with fun and frolic, the event was enjoyed by one and all.
