PBA Bhangra Academy recently hosted Sabhyacharak Mela in New Jersey. PBA Bhangra Academy works with a goal to bring today's generation closer to their roots by educating them about their culture through Bhangra. From Bhangra to Giddha Performances, the event was a visual treat for the community.
From colorful costumes, talented people and glittering performances all lit up the Sabhyacharak Mela. The motto of the academy is to keep the culture alive. The mela saw an overwhelming response from people. The show was a great success with the support of all parents, sponsors and the community.
PBA Bhangra was founded on July 29th, 2013 by Prab G Sandhu in Columbus (Burlington) NJ with additional locations in East Windsor and Princeton. They offer classes for people of all ages with little or no background in Bhangra. The objective is to help our children continue moving forward in a bi-cultural society without losing ties to their past and their heritage. They want to spread positive energy by preserving their culture, building absolute ties to roots and bring over a healthy individual into the American society.
PBA believes there is a great value in sharing dance and culture with children of all backgrounds. The classes teach children about culture, dance techniques, rhythm, confidence, and discipline.
