Indian Association of Greater Chicago organized the festive celebrations with great zeal and enthusiasm. India and its festive spirit was evident in each and every event. Festivals like this reminded every Indian of his/her roots.
William Duncan McLeod, Mayor of Hoffman Estate said, “We are very pleased that our hometown was picked to be the site of this festival. We have very large Indo-American community in Hoffman, we appreciate all the contributions that Indo-American community has made to our country, our village, our culture, our music, our language, our food, you name it. It’s such a vibrant part of our community.”
Neil Khot shared about the event and various activities organized during the event such as rangoli, making Ganpati idols, movie day and finally Visarjan.
