Philadelphia: It’s a student run India centric business conference bringing together leaders, professionals, academics and students from around the world. This year the theme of the conference was disrupt, deliver and diversify. The forum focuses on India’s development and was started 20 years ago by the students.
Recently, the 22 nd Wharton India Economic forum was hosted to discuss the most exciting opportunities and pressing issues in the country. Ankit Agarwal, Co-chair, WIEF said, “We want to bring India to US as well as take Wharton as a thought leadership process to India. We want global citizens to participate in the growing Indian economy.”
The topics for this conference included opportunities for multi- national, opportunities for investing in India and what does it mean to have India move towards digitization.
Pankaj Munjal, Chairman & MD, Hero Cycles expressed his delight for being at the conference and appreciated the students. Over the years the conference has attracted top level speakers including Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Mukesh Ambani and Karan Johar to name a few.
