Puppetry of India, Atlanta



 
Atlanta: Centre for Puppetry Art displayed Puppetry of India, the great stories and dancing dolls show in partnership with Asian American Heritage Foundation. The Centre presented the exhibition and opening of a museum of Indian Puppets in Atlanta. The exhibit celebrates India’s culture by
displaying ways in which Puppetry has been used in India as a story telling tool.

Nancy Staub, Founder of the Museum, CPA said, “I naturally gravitated to Indian Puppetry because it is one of the oldest traditions.” Consulate General of India, Atlanta and Indian Council for Culture Relation have sponsored the Indian puppets in Atlanta. Nagesh Singh, Consul General of India, Atlanta expressed his willingness in supporting the permanent exhibit. The centre celebrates Indian culture by exploring the diversity of puppetry across India.
