It was indeed a unique way to celebrate Diwali. The event was hosted at Metropolitan Museum of Art that included loads of cultural activities depicting memories and experiences around the biggest festival of India, Diwali. It presented the symbolic victory of good over evil.
Bonnie Wong, President AWIB shared, “I wanted it to be about culture, about the meaning of Diwali and about the art work. You could find Diwali in the art work of India. It goes back to 1000s of years.” The event truly presented the spiritual and cultural aspect of the festival.
