Senior representatives of Roman Catholic Church and Hindu American Community organized a dialogue at Shree Shiva Vishnu Temple with a
theme Love of Neighbor in the Catholic and Hindu tradition, reflections on nationalism, war and poverty.
Archbishop Christophe Pierre, Vatican Ambassador to the United States stressed the importance of knowing and understanding
each other. He said dialogue is very important and this is the only way to live in this world.
Swamini Svatmavidyananda, Spiritual Director shared, “This dialogue is a very historic event and like all dialogues, it is very healing. For any
kind of understanding it is important to have a dialogue to be able to wipe so many years of mistrust and distrust and come together to
make a fresh start.”
The keynote address was given by Vatican Ambassador to the United States and Swamini Svatmavidyananda was followed by speeches and panel discussions. Also, distinguished speakers were honoured at this event.
