The new film of Mani Ratnam has been named Duet in Telugu. The film stars Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles.
The title of the film has received a poor response from movie lovers. It looks especially weaker when the Tamil title Kaatru Veliyidai is taken into consideration. The idea for the Telugu version seems to be to reference an old film of the same name.
The film will move to its last leg of shooting from December. Dil Raju is presenting the film in Telugu and a March 2017 release has been confirmed for the film.
