Mani Ratnam Breaks His Rule For Duet

Nov 15, 2016 | Articles

Director Mani Ratnam is breaking his rule and it would be for the fourth time. The rule is his objection to shooting in foreign locations unless really necessary.

So far Mani Ratnam had shot only three films outside India. The films are Kannathil Muthu Mittal (Amrutha), Guru and Raavan. Except for the first film nobody can guess if the rest of the film were shot abroad, that's the vision of the director. He is shooting outside after a long time as he is not able to get the permission for shooting in Kashmir for Duet.

Mani Ratnam would travel to Serbia for the final schedule of Duet. Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari are the lead pair in the film which will be presented in Telugu by Dil Raju. Duet is aiming for March 2017 release.
