Victory Venkatesh known to wrap up the shoots at a fast pace has completed the shooting of his new film Guru. Rest of the artists shoot is left which doesn't require him to participate.
Guru is a sports based movie. It deals with boxing and the basic story deals with redemption of a disgraced and abusive coach played by Venkatesh. Rithika plays the role of the boxer who has to be trained.
Sudha Kongara who has directed the original starring Madhavan directs the remake too. Despite the film being ready in time to have a Sankranti release, the makers have not taken a call on it. As of now, the release date is January 26 next year.
