Deadline Pressure For GPSK

There is a strong deadline pressure on the upcoming film of Nandamuri Balakrishna. The makers have apparently been told the film has to arrive on the said date whatever may be the stage of making its in. It has to be wrapped up.

However, Krish who directs and also produces the film feels Gautamiputra Satakarni might be hurt in the process. Still, as the hero wishes the film would be wrapped up as soon as possible. Already work on the graphics is done day and night so that there are no delays in the last minute. But they also caution that don’t be surprised if there is a delay eventually as nothing can be known for sure till the last minute. 

Sumanth's Naruda DONORuda Movie Review

Story:

Vicky (Sumanth) is a jobless youth wasting his time. Dr. Anjaneyulu (Tanikella Bharani) finds out hidden potential in him and offers him a job. How this job brings change in Vicky’s life and what happens, in the end, is the story of the film.

Performances:

Sumanth has not been visible on screen for a very long time. Watching him perform on the screen looked like he wants to make up for all the inactivity. He was overacting so much. When he was controlled in the second half he was fine.

Pallavi Subhash makes a good debut. She looks beautiful without exposing in a classy sort of way. Even in acting, she is alright.

Tanikella Bharani enjoys performing a central pivotal role given to him. Sri Lakshmi is alright. Suman Shetty is wasted.

Analysis:

Director Ram Mallik who previously assisted Avasarala Srinivas turns director with the film. He has taken a bold film to debut, it is bold because the subject is such a taboo one for the audience. It worked in Hindi because it had a fabulous casting and a lead who was charming, without forcing, to carry it off. Finally, Hindi film has the luxury of making a multiplex only film and yet be successful making slightly flawed films.

With not anyone of those elements coming to the aid of Telugu film what we have is a poor version of the National Award Winning film. The casting is not inspiring nor is the writing. It simply translates the Hindi original in Telugu with very little of local flavor. This is the biggest problem of the film. add to that the over action of certain characters including the hero and we have a film that fails to engage despite a promising premise.

Music by Sricharan Pakala is bad. It follows a predictable sound and has no heart to connect. It gives out a wannabe vibe. Cinematography for films like this is very crucial in providing additional feel. Here, the movie gives short film vibes at times. The locales could have been captures even more beautifully as if they are a character in the film itself. But nothing of that sort happens. Editing is okay.
