The annual Hindu Heritage Day was hosted at the Charles Whitcomb Middle School in Marlborough, MA on May 18.
The free event, now in its 23rd year, was organized by Vishva Hindu Parishad of America, New England.
The event showcased the rich culture and traditions of Hindus through various dance forms and music, performed by members of the community in the area. A big part of the event was the Mela, where a variety of vendors setup booths, selling jewelry, books, garments and food.
Several competitions were held for children, who competed in essay writing and art and painting illustrating their knowledge of Hindu culture.
The organizers also organized an Indian passport and visa camp in coordination with the Indian Consulate, New York.
The day ended with a kite flying competition.
